Prisoners test positive to measles at Woodford

FOUR Woodford Correctional Centre inmates have tested positive to measles with another highly likely to have the disease.
Queensland Health has launched an investigation into whether the cases at the prison, north of Brisbane, are linked to other recent diagnoses in southeast Queensland.
The department’s Communicable Diseases Unit acting senior director Stephen Lambert said a mass immunisation campaign would be rolled out at the prison to reduce further risks to staff, visitors and other inmates.
